Similar names, different set-ups
Anyone searching for football dating in Britain may well come across footballdating.com. The similar name can be confusing, so let us be clear: Football Dating UK (this site, at footballlover.co.uk) and Football Dating at footballdating.com are separate services with no connection to each other.
Both are built for football fans. The main differences are in who they serve, how profiles are shared and how prices are presented. We checked footballdating.com's own pages, including its homepage, renewal terms and help section, on 16 October 2026.

How footballdating.com works
footballdating.com presents itself as a dating club for football fans everywhere. Its homepage talks about fans of the Premier League, the Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A, and welcomes followers of lower leagues and lesser-known teams too. Signup is a five-step form: who you are and who you are seeking, your age, your country from a worldwide list, your email and then a username and password.
Its features, according to its own homepage, include profile photos, galleries, real-time chatting, video chat and flirts.
Two parts of its small print are worth reading before you sign up.
The network. Its disclaimer explains that Football Dating "is part of the dating network, which includes many other general and football dating sites," and that "your profile will automatically be shown on related football dating sites or to related users in the network." Put simply, registering with one brand can put you in front of members of several.
Billing and renewal. The disclaimer says the site is billed by 24-7help.net. Its renewal terms say that, unless you cancel before the end of a subscription, it "will automatically continue for an additional equivalent period at the same price," and they name Online Connections Inc. as the company authorised to take payment. We could not find prices on its public pages.
How Football Dating UK works
Football Dating UK is written for supporters in Britain. A profile names your club, explains how you follow it and sketches a usual in-season weekend, and from there it is a matter of reading profiles and starting conversations.
Our guides and city pages are about British football: Manchester, London and Liverpool so far, with local grounds, transport and derby culture.
You can check what we charge before handing over an email address. Seven days of VIP is £14.99, a month £24.95, three months £59.95, six months £74.70 and a year £119.88. VIP Plus over the same periods is £15.99, £34.24, £77.01, £128.31 and £208.05. Shorter plans carry on at the original price until cancelled; a year's plan comes to a natural stop.
What footballdating.com does well
It has some real strengths.
International reach. If you follow football abroad, or would be open to meeting someone in another country, a worldwide site makes sense.
Plenty of ways to talk. Video chat is useful if you want to see someone before meeting, which is also a sensible safety step.
Football through and through. The whole site is themed around the game, from the copy to the categories.
Clear renewal wording. Its renewal page explains plainly that subscriptions continue unless you cancel, and how to cancel from your account.
If you would like to meet fans beyond Britain and do not mind being visible on sister sites, it may suit you.
Where Football Dating UK differs
UK focus. Everything here is written for British supporters, from the guides to the city pages.
British football life. Our articles deal with derby days, season tickets, away trips and the UK fixture calendar, including Boxing Day.
Prices in pounds, in public. You can see every plan before signing up.
A year that ends. Our annual plans finish after twelve months, so nothing is taken automatically in year two.
If the names confuse you
Search results can mix the two brands up. A simple test is the address bar: this site lives at footballlover.co.uk. If you registered somewhere and are unsure which service it was, check the web address in your welcome email.
Questions to ask before you sign up anywhere
Whichever football dating site you choose, these questions help:
- Where will my profile appear? On one site, or across a network?
- What does registration include, and what needs a subscription?
- What will it cost, in which currency, and can I see that before I hand over my email address?
- Which plans renew automatically, and how do I cancel?
- Who takes the payment? The name on your bank statement may not match the site's name.
Answers to these tell you more about a dating site than its homepage does.
Reading the bank statement
One practical point. Because footballdating.com says payments are handled by 24-7help.net and its renewal terms name Online Connections Inc., a charge may appear on your statement under a name you do not immediately recognise. That is common in online dating and not a sign of anything wrong, but it is worth knowing, so you can match a payment to the service and cancel if you need to. Before paying for any dating service, ours included, take a screenshot of the price, the plan length and the renewal terms, and note how to cancel. It takes a minute and can save a lot of hassle.
Different football calendars
A worldwide football site naturally covers leagues from several countries, which suits fans who follow the Bundesliga or Serie A as closely as their local club. Our focus is narrower: the English and Scottish game, its fixture list and its culture. If your weekends revolve around a British club, the pages and guides here are written with you in mind.
Language and leagues
Because it serves fans in many countries, footballdating.com describes football in broad international terms. Our pages use British football language and the UK fixture calendar throughout.
Privacy and visibility
Being shown on several related sites can mean more people see your profile, which some people like. Others would rather keep their dating profile in one place, especially if they do not want colleagues, family or fellow supporters stumbling across it on a site they never signed up to. Think about which matters more to you before you decide.
Safety
Wherever you meet people, build up to a meeting with messages and ideally a video call, choose a crowded venue, keep someone informed and treat any money request as the end of the conversation. Private messages offering spare tickets for a big game deserve particular suspicion. Our safety page has a full checklist.
Which should you choose?
Choose footballdating.com if you want an international football audience, you value built-in video chat and you are comfortable with your profile being shown across a network of related sites.
Choose Football Dating UK if you are based in Britain, want to see sterling prices before registering and value advice written around British football.
